Cool Kids Activities is a web app for running group activities on a shared screen. This page says what we keep about you, what we do not, and how to have it removed. It describes what the software actually does.
What we store
- Your email address and name. Your email is how you sign in. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your email address and name from them and nothing else — no contacts, no friends, no posts, no profile picture.
- Your organization and role, if you belong to one, so we know whether you may run activities and manage your team.
- Counts of activity — how many games an organization started and completed in a month, and how many people used it. Numbers only. We do not record who called which number.
- Feedback you choose to send, with a note of the page and theme you were on so we can reproduce what you saw.
What we do not store
- No analytics, no advertising trackers, no third-party scripts of any kind. The pages load only from our own domain.
- No payment details. We never handle a card — Stripe does.
- No passwords. Sign-in is handled by Amazon Cognito; if you use Google or Facebook, your password never comes near us at all.
- Nothing about the people in the room. The app has no idea who is playing.
Who else sees it
Amazon Web Services hosts the app and stores the data above, in the United States. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, that provider knows you signed in to us. If you buy anything, Stripe handles the payment and receives your name and email address to put on the receipt; your card details are entered on Stripe’s own page and never reach us. We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or pass it to anyone else.
Cookies
We set no tracking cookies. The app keeps your sign-in token and your preferences — theme, voice, light or dark — in your own browser's storage. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Getting your data, or deleting it
Email service@steadydocks.com from the address you signed in with, and say whether you want a copy of what we hold about you or want it deleted. We do not require a reason. Deletion removes your account, your profile, your membership of any organization, and any feedback you sent, and we will confirm by email within 30 days. If you belong to an organization, your administrator can also remove you from it at any time.
This applies however you signed in. If you used Facebook or Google, the same request removes everything we received from them — your email address and your name, which is all we ever asked for. Removing our app from your Facebook or Google account settings stops any further sign-in, and emailing us as above deletes what we already hold.
Children
Accounts are for the adults running an activity. The app is designed to be used in a room with a group, but it does not collect anything about the people watching, and we do not knowingly create accounts for children.
Changes
If this changes we will update this page and the date at the top.
